Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Inventory Analyst to optimize inventory levels by managing the end‑to‑end product flow of assigned brands. You will work with the Planner and Merchant to analyze data, monitor stock levels, and identify opportunities to meet financial and strategic goals.

You will collaborate on forecasts, place POs, and support analytics to improve sales, margins, and turn while maintaining strong vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in inventory, planning, merchandising, or supply chain.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing critical thinking and data-driven influence.
• Ability to work with large amounts of data into trends and develop actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of inventory strategies in partnership with Planner.
• Manage the end-to-end flow of product for designated brands to achieve sales, margin, and turn objectives.
• Place purchase orders based on forecasts for weekly replenishment, advertising, events, and promotions; review and adjust POs as required.
• Support business decisions with analytics/insights to optimize sales and productivity.
• Maintain vendor relationships regarding inventory flow, including fill rate and on-time delivery; participate in weekly cross-functional meetings.
• Drive sales, margins, inventory turn, and in-stock levels toward KPIs.
• Update forecasts for store levels in the forecasting and replenishment system weekly.
• Track and ensure products arrive on time and escalate as needed.
