Job summary

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is a not-for-profit organization that manages the Yard's real estate and supports workforce development. The Coordinator, Internship Programs, will handle intern recruitment, onboarding, and program operations, coordinating with host employers and BNYDC departments to ensure high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience with Airtable and/or Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the recruiting process for 3 internship cohorts (Fall and Spring part-time, Summer full-time).
• Notify candidates of decision/matching outcomes and outline onboarding.
• Review and approve bi-weekly timesheets for interns.
• Coordinate progress check-ins, surveys, and routine correspondence between hosts and interns.
• Update Airtable database with internship data.
• Support recruitment for the Alumni Internship Program.
• Assist with planning and execution of professional development events, attendees, partners, vendors, RSVPs, etc.
• Craft and post engaging content for the BNYDC Internship Alumni LinkedIn page.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
