The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) oversees career pathways by managing workforce training programs that prepare participants for careers in advanced manufacturing, climate technology, and other growing sectors in New York City.

Senior Manager, Workforce Training Programs partners with employers, instructors, funders, and internal teams to expand access to quality careers. This grant-funded role can extend beyond the initial two-year period based on funding availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in workforce development or related field.
• 3+ years managing workforce training operations or adult education initiatives.
• Evenings and weekends availability (Saturdays) may be required.
• Experience using data, metrics and continuous improvement to improve outcomes.
• Experience with CRM/program management systems (e.g., Airtable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the workforce training portfolio across multiple initiatives.
• Coordinate across internal teams and partners to deliver high-quality training.
• Launch and implement new training initiatives (e.g., EV Charging Station Maintenance).
• Monitor program performance and improve enrollment, completion, and job placement outcomes.
• Manage relations with instructors, subject matter experts, training providers and vendors.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, enrollment, career readiness, and job placement with Outreach & Hiring.
• Build employer and industry partnerships to inform curriculum and opportunities.
• Monitor labor market trends and align programs with industry needs.
• Support grant management, reporting and compliance.
• Develop SOPs and suggest operational improvements based on data.
