First Command Financial Services, Inc. seeks a seasoned Manager of Strategic Internal Communications to lead the internal communications function and translate enterprise strategy into disciplined, field-ready messaging.

You will manage a team of strategists and partner with Strategy Management, MOC, and business stakeholders to prioritize and align communications with core priorities. You will guide messaging strategy, governance, and cadence, delivering coordinated plans that improve clarity,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a communications-related field.
8+ years’ experience in corporate communications or internal communications.
3+ years’ experience in leadership or team lead capacity; experience guiding enterprise change initiatives.

Responsibilities

Serve as the central connection point between enterprise strategy and internal communications to align with business priorities.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate priorities into clear communications direction.
Manage the internal communications editorial calendar ensuring disciplined prioritization and alignment to milestones.
Lead and develop a team of internal communications strategists to deliver high-quality, consistent messaging.
Provide strategic counsel on messaging, tone, sequencing, and audience considerations to improve adoption and engagement.
Ensure communications are Field-ready, reviewed, and approved prior to distribution; maintain alignment with Legal and Compliance.
