Pomelo Care is a leading virtual medical practice for women and children, offering 24/7 clinical care and proactive technology nationwide. The Director of Payer Contracting will drive market expansion for the Midlife line, defining health plan engagement and leading end-to-end contracting from sourcing through signature.

You will partner with senior payer executives and internal teams to structure high-impact deals that expand access, optimize margins, and accelerate enterprise growth, reporting

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in payer contracting or related areas with health plans.
• Ability to negotiate and close contracts directly with payers.
• Strategic thinker able to connect market strategy with term sheet details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define payer contracting strategy including engagement and expansion.
• Refine and share Pomelo's value with commercial health plans.
• Lead negotiations from sourcing to signature with balance of growth and margin.
• Build trusted relationships with payer executives at senior levels.
• Track regulatory and reimbursement landscape to keep strategy current.
• Partner with Operations, Finance and Legal to test deal economics.
