Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Director of Internal Communications for Global Technology & Operations (GTO). Based in Charlotte, NC, this hybrid role partners with GTO leaders to translate technology and data priorities into clear messaging across internal channels and leadership communications.

A senior writer and strategist will guide editorial planning and manage one direct report to deliver high‑quality communications.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with ability to translate complex topics into employee communications.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic communications counsel and partner with senior leaders.
• Experience managing editorial planning and delivering communications programs that drive engagement.
• Excellent project management, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications plans to support GTO priorities and leadership objectives.
• Draft clear, compelling content across internal channels (leadership messages, updates, intranet stories, talking points, town halls).
• Partner with GTO leaders and SMEs to simplify technology and operations topics for broad audiences, guiding a direct report.
• Manage editorial planning and channel coordination to stay aligned with milestones and change periods.
• Use employee feedback and analytics to improve engagement over time.
