Job summary

TACO Metals, Sparta, TN, is seeking an Inside Account Manager to own, retain, and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts. You will drive profitability, retention, and growth with strategic account ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include account strategy, reviews, pricing discussions, and coordinating internal resources to deliver strong customer results. Onsite in Sparta with growth opportunities in sales leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of customer service, sales, or account-management experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience managing accounts with responsibility for revenue, retention, profitability, or growth.
• Strong business acumen and supply-chain knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently within defined authority.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and serve as the primary business contact.
• Build trusted, long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and regular outreach.
• Develop, recommend, implement, and execute account strategies, growth plans, retention plans, and approved action plans.
• Conduct periodic customer business reviews to identify opportunities, address account needs, and strengthen partnerships.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, buying trends, product penetration, profitability, retention risk, and long-term customer value.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records of customer interactions, strategies, opportunities, business-review outcomes, follow-up activities, and pipeline activity.
