Strategic Initiatives & Research Project Manager

Overview:

As a key member of the Research and Initiative team, the Strategic Initiatives & Research Project Manager will provide project management support for all member engagement with MMA programs and industry research initiatives, from initial conversations through execution and promotion of case studies and results at MMA events, webinars, board meetings and member communications. Their role will be to own all scheduling, tracking and prep across the many engagement conversations, increasing efficiency and consistency in all follow up.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Support for Research & Think Tank Executives:

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for Research and Think Tank programs, providing logistical and administrative support across multiple initiatives, including scheduling of all meetings, tracking progress, and mitigating risks.
  • Ensuring consistent member communication on program engagements, and timely follow ups
  • Assist in creation of process documentation for all key workflows, to improve service delivery

Member Program Engagement Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the member team to support centralized tracking of member conversations and engagement with research and initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of a content pipeline/case studies from R&I to MMA events and webinars.
  • Maintain a central tracker for all research with solution provider members (from concept conversations through to execution and release)

Research Admin:

  • Assist in the creation, organization and updates of data, reports, copy and Powerpoint presentations for both internal and external meetings.
  • Support survey email sends by compiling lists, and tracking responses
  • Create and maintain projects in Asana;
  • Ensure milestones and events are shared to Activity Calendar
  • Ensure latest case studies and collateral are shared in Collateral project
  • Initiate monthly review process of all MAdopt emails to make sure the information and links are still up to date
  • Maintain worklist, with deadlines, to help plan and prioritize workload
  • Assist with schedule management
  • Maintain timeline for all surveys (likely a roll up Asana calendar of individual survey projects)
  • Act as a point of contact to triage all requests or questions
  • Suggest ways to streamline and create efficiencies in R&I workflows
  • Support the marketing of all program updates and outputs
  • Assist in creation of PPT decks for presentations, webinars, board meetings and events
  • Proactively manage a pipeline of potential candidates to speak on the research (esp for webinars and events)

Drive audience exposure at MMA events

  • Support VP Operations in non-member audience development for MMA’s CMO & CEO Summit, CATS and CMO Academy, by creating lists, managing email campaigns and tracking responses.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Creation of templates for recurring projects (ie surveys, program executions)
  • Establish importance of regular review of key updates and progress, to have available for board or member meetings
  • Improve reporting of member engagement with MMA programs (MAdopt) and support getting this data into CRM for more automated reporting
  • Creation of a central R&I tracker to more easily identify priorities and timelines for all potential and in-flight projects for the head of research
  • Maintenance of R&I Asana calendar to let full MMA team more easily see when key activity or outputs are planned for
  • Establish more robust Asana project management, for more consistent and transparent workload management across all Think Tanks and Research
  • Ensuring key metrics are met for Audience Development, ie attendance numbers, seniority, ecosystem balance

Key Stakeholders:

Internal

  • VP Operations
  • SVP Research
  • Think Tank Program Directors
  • Membership team

External

  • SMEs and business partners on Research projects
  • Key project contacts at member companies
