Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead high-priority cross-functional projects within Champion Construction Services and Builder Developer division.

You will partner with leaders to enhance processes, implement scalable systems, strengthen reporting, and drive initiatives from planning through adoption. The role requires collaboration with Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering, as well as travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, operations, construction management, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional projects, initiatives, or system implementations.
• Experience documenting requirements, mapping processes, coordinating testing and deployment, and supporting adoption.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and drive execution.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience in manufactured housing, homebuilding, construction, or related industries.
• Project management certification (PMP) or formal training a plus.
• Experience with ERP, workflow, reporting, or BI platforms.
• Experience directing project teams, consultants, or third-party partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and cross-functional initiatives from definition through implementation.
• Develop project charters, workplans, timelines, milestones, resources, governance, and business cases.
• Identify operational challenges and opportunities for standardization and scalability.
• Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows and tools.
• Define requirements, scopes, and change impacts for improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to design, test, deploy, and sustain new processes and dashboards.
• Manage implementation activities, including requirements gathering, testing, UAT, training, deployment, and adoption.
• Support development of dashboards, KPI reporting, and analyses for leadership decisions.
• Monitor progress, adoption, risks, and dependencies; escalate with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering on tools and communications.
• Facilitate leadership and project meetings, drive decisions, and ensure commitments.
