Job summary

ChemTreat seeks a Category Manager – Indirect for our Glen Allen, VA site. You will own the indirect spend strategy, governance, and savings initiatives across North American operations, partnering with Finance and senior leaders to drive cost reductions and process improvements.

You will lead an Indirect Sourcing Specialist (future hire) and oversee supplier qualification, onboarding, and compliance, with a focus on Travel, Fleet, Marketing, HR, IT, Facilities, and other indirect categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or related function.
• Proven experience developing and executing category strategies and negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute indirect procurement strategies across spend categories to optimize cost, supplier usage, and risk.
• Lead budget and savings reviews with Finance and stakeholders to monitor performance and opportunities.
• Build visibility into addressable spend, contracts, and savings opportunities; maintain savings pipeline.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and agreements to maximize value and lower risk.
• Manage iBuy and other procurement systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Latin America stakeholders as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
