Westlake Chemical in Houston, TX is seeking a Sr Category Manager (Indirect Procurement) to develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for assigned indirect categories, manage preferred vendors, identify cost reductions, negotiate contracts, and evaluate market opportunities and risks.

The role requires extensive experience in manufacturing/petrochemical sourcing, strong negotiation and leadership capabilities, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to optimize total delivered

Qualificações

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, petroleum refining or petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of plant purchasing, plant warehouse and contract negotiations/management.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of employees and management.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and executes strategies for sourcing, procurement and logistics of assigned categories for Westlake North America HIP and PEM divisions.
• Identifies and implements best-in-class sourcing strategies that support continuity of supply, quality, cost and business unit requirements.
• Develops category objectives using KPIs and manages to meet them.
• Uses strategic sourcing practices to provide total cost supply chain solutions.
• Establishes and leads cross-functional teams to develop and maintain consolidated strategic supply base.
• Drives supplier scorecards and continuous improvement across the category.
