Job summary

Moog is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support the Space and Defense Group’s footprint from Blacksburg, VA. The role focuses on partnering with leaders to enable performance, talent development, and HR program delivery aligned with business objectives.

You will work in a matrixed environment, advise on employment matters, and shape the people strategy while reporting to a Strategic HRBP for the Power and Data Division. This onsite role offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with leadership to provide value-added HR support aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with Strategic HRBP and leaders to influence decision-making beyond HR and shape the organization’s future.
• Manage people agenda with Strategic HRBP and deliver HR initiatives.
• Contribute to business strategy with an HR lens in organizational decisions.
• Design and implement HR strategies to drive engagement, retention, and performance.
• Lead organizational development, design, and change management initiatives.
• Own talent management processes including succession planning and performance management.
• Coach and role-model a culture aligned with Moog’s values.
• Analyze HR metrics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Participate in global HR projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to improve policies and programs.
