North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Director of HR Policy, Strategy and Planning to lead policy governance, strategic planning, and portfolio management within Human Resources. You will align HR priorities with the university mission, coordinate executive initiatives, and support workforce objectives through data‑driven guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, policy development, strategic planning, organizational operations, program management, project management, or a related field, including experience supporting senior or executive leadership.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience and/or experience leading cross‑functional projects, initiatives, or program teams.
• Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing, implementing, or governing policies, procedures, standards, guidance, or other governance‑related documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organization‑wide initiative coordination, process improvement, or operational effectiveness.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
• Demonstrated executive writing, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into policies, procedural guidance, executive briefings, reports, presentations, and leadership materials.
• Experience working with web content, digital information management, or communications coordination in partnership with communications or publishing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies and guidance.
• Manage division's strategic planning and annual priority-setting processes.
• Oversee execution of key projects and initiatives supporting organizational effectiveness and operational excellence.
• Provide research, analysis, planning, and decision-support resources for HR leadership.
• Serve as strategic liaison across HR and university stakeholders to foster collaboration and communication.
