Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Sr. HR Business Partner to provide strategic partnership across workforce planning, talent and culture, operations and risk management. You will mentor HR business partners, partner with leaders to align talent with business goals, drive change, and ensure compliance.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in HR/Business and at least 5 years of strategic HR experience with broad knowledge across HR disciplines. Excellent collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of strategic HR partnership experience.
• Experience across compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, DEI, performance management, organizational development, talent acquisition, and employment laws.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to senior leaders and build strategic relationships.
• Partner with stakeholders to forecast workforce needs and align talent with business goals.
• Lead talent initiatives and advise on retention, internal mobility, and succession planning.
• Guide culture strategies and total rewards considerations while mitigating operational risks.
• Drive change initiatives and handle employee relations escalations with HR partners.
• Ensure consistency of HR practices across the system and collaborate with other HR partners.
• Lead cross-functional projects and manage department budgets when needed.
• Provide coaching and advocacy for HR programs.
• Make operational HR decisions impacting leaders and service lines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
