Job summary

Mountain Springs Recovery, part of Sunshine Behavioral Health, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our people operations across the organization. Located in Monument, CO, this full-time role partners with leadership to align workforce practices with our mission and regulatory standards.

You will lead recruitment, advise on employee relations, and manage payroll-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources experience.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, leave administration, and leadership advisory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain objectivity, tact, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job description development, sourcing strategies, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and build effective talent pipelines.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on HR, payroll, and attendance matters.
• Manage employee relations, including progressive discipline and status changes.
• Support leaders with coaching, documentation, and performance improvement planning.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Manage leave programs including ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Oversee return-to-work programs and workplace accommodations.
