Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to work with the Director of Human Resources to oversee human resources operations within assigned business unit and ensure they’re aligned with business goals while supporting the mission and core values of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

You will provide guidance on talent management, compliance with laws, performance management and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field or seven (7) years’ equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in human resources with at least two (2) years of experience in management and/or HR Business Partner experience.
• SPHR/PHR preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee human resources operations within assigned business unit.
• Anticipate potential issues and shape talent priorities to align to business strategy.
• Develop and implement HR plans to achieve strategic initiatives and mission alignment.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal employment laws and policies, and advise management accordingly.
• Partner with management to deliver annual HR cycle deliverables (performance management, benefits enrollment, etc.).
• Be the primary HR resource for questions across local policies, benefits, compensation, leaves, etc.
• Develop partnerships with leaders and staff at all levels; facilitate on-site visits with partners.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Collaborate with hiring managers on talent acquisitions and retention initiatives.
• Coach managers on employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Identify areas for improvement and design training accordingly.
• Analyze HR metrics to develop programs and policies.
• Support education/training for new HR programs and initiatives.
• Assist with special projects as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and confidentiality is maintained.
