A1 Garage is seeking an HR Business Partner to partner with leaders across assigned markets, solving people challenges and strengthening teams. This hands-on role operates in a fast-moving, multi-state organization where practical judgment matters and priorities shift.

You will manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and coaching for managers, while applying policies and employment laws across states. A hybrid schedule is required after training.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience handling complex employee relations matters in an HRBP/generalist role.
• Experience supporting employees and leaders across multiple states with state-specific requirements.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, investigations, performance management, accommodations, and leaves.
• Ability to assess risk and make sound recommendations when policies are unclear.
• Strong written and verbal communication, adaptable to frontline and senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Partner with leaders to understand business needs and provide practical HR guidance.
• Manage complex employee relations matters including workplace concerns and separations.
• Conduct objective investigations and recommend next steps.
• Coach managers through performance management, development, and conflict resolution.
• Interpret and apply policies and employment laws across states with legal input when needed.
• Support organizational changes, workforce planning, promotions, transfers, and succession discussions.
• Use data and trends to identify risks and improve programs or processes.
• Build trusted relationships while balancing employee experience, compliance, and business needs.
• Identify training needs and collaborate to deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to HR projects and adapt to changing priorities beyond the role scope.
• Serve as a resource to other People team members; no direct reports at this time.
