Job summary

BRAVAS in Houston seeks an HR Business Partner to align people strategy with business goals across branches. This strategic adviser role goes beyond day-to-day HR admin, guiding workforce planning, org design, and talent strategy while steering leaders through complex employee relations.

You will partner with leadership, coach managers, and use data to identify trends, ensure compliance, and roll out programs with the broader People Team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience including as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR generalist role supporting leadership
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• Experience advising leaders on org design, workforce planning, and change management
• Skilled at navigating employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion
• Excellent communication and coaching skills, with ability to build trust with leaders at all levels
• Experience with HRIS systems (Paycor or similar)
• Strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a boardroom or on the ground with a branch team

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to assigned leaders, translating business priorities into people strategy and workforce plans
• Guide leaders through organizational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives
• Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
• Partner with leadership on succession planning, talent reviews, and career pathing for key roles
• Use data and people metrics (turnover, engagement, headcount) to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions
• Coach and develop managers to strengthen their leadership and people management capabilities
• Ensure HR practices and policies are applied consistently and in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Partner with the broader People Team to design and roll out company-wide programs, then localize and drive adoption within your client groups
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and critical hiring needs
• Support compensation planning and ensure pay practices are equitable and market‑competitive within your client groups
