Job summary

MSC USA - Houston is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR operations for the Houston Branch and expand support to the Tempe Branch. The role focuses on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and talent development in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The ideal candidate has ER, recruiting and performance management experience, and can influence leaders while working independently across a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin or related field.
• SHRM-CP/SCP/PHR certifications preferred.
• 2–5 years HR Generalist or HRBP experience.
• Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines including ER, performance and organizational change.
• Strong communication and ability to drive change in a matrixed organization.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR policies.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coach and advise managers on talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and development.
• Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations and performance issues.
• Conduct investigations and manage documentation, escalation and communication.
• Facilitate annual performance evaluations and identify improvements.
• Support workforce planning and HR initiatives for Houston and Tempe branches.
• Build relationships with branch management to drive organizational change.
• Ensure compliance with policies and employment laws.
