Job summary

Alabama Power Company in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to collaborate with APC leadership to deliver HR solutions across workforce planning, employee relations, compensation, and engagement.

The HRBP will partner with business units to align HR programs with business needs, ensure compliance with employment laws, and support organizational change while fostering inclusion and a high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
• Experience consulting with management at all levels.
• Experience with a broad range of employees and leaders.
• Facilitation and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to build and maintain a workforce that meets the needs of the organization.
• Consult on employee development activities to enhance knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Leverage data to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees.
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues such as performance, conduct and attendance.
• Consult on the implementation of the Company’s compensation philosophy and guidelines.
• Work with customers on organizational structure and change initiatives.
• Advise on activities aimed at improving relationships and creating a thriving workforce.
• Develop strategies to foster inclusion, respect and fairness for all employees.
