Job summary

Seattle Public Schools seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to provide talent management and HR services to Principals, Central Office Leaders and Executive Directors of Schools. You will support staffing, onboarding, performance management, and labor relations while ensuring alignment with district budgets and student outcomes.

The role requires strong data analysis, reporting, and collaboration across central and school-based teams, with emphasis on timely HR actions and system-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• Seven years of HR generalist experience in K-12 public schools.
• Experience with labor relations and bargaining agreements.
• Strong budgeting, staffing, and data reporting knowledge.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, SAP, and NeoGov.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with principals and central leaders to support staffing and performance management.
• Assists in planning for vacancies, transfers, and long-term substitutes and HR implications of budgets.
• Analyzes HR data to improve workforce excellence and staff quality.
• Prepares reports on staffing needs, budget issues, and human capital management for stakeholders.
• Guides onboarding and finalizes candidate eligibility processes while coordinating performance evaluations and reviews.
• Interacts with IT and HRIS staff to address information systems issues and leverage HR technology.
