Job summary

Plymouth Housing in Seattle, WA is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support managers, directors, and leadership across the organization. You will help shape a healthy, effective workplace by handling employee relations, labor relations, performance management, leave, and compliance.

This role requires collaborative, steady judgment and the ability to bring clarity to complex issues. You will work with leaders to navigate investigations, coach for fair decisions, and use data

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive HR experience, with significant employee relations experience.
• Union experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with investigations, grievances, leave administration, and performance management.
• HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee and labor relations and policy interpretation.
• Advise leaders on collective bargaining, union communication, grievance handling, and labor-management collaboration.
• Lead impartial workplace investigations and document recommendations.
• Coach leaders through performance management, progressive discipline, PIPs, and terminations.
• Advise on leave administration and accommodations (FMLA, WA PFML, ADA).
• Support compliance, risk management, and confidential case handling.
• Analyze workforce data and trends to improve retention and organizational effectiveness.
