Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. in Tampa, FL, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to attract, engage, develop, and retain our most valuable asset—our people.

You will partner with leaders to guide decisions related to compensation, benefits, HR policies, and employee relations. You will administer HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, engagement activities, communications, training coordination, succession planning, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 5-7 years of related HR experience.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Selection: support recruitment efforts by interviewing finalists and creating competitive offer letters.
• Onboarding & Orientation: help with onboarding paperwork and new hire orientation.
• Engagement: organize and participate in employee engagement activities and related teams.
• Compensation: ensure equitable pay and maintain job descriptions and evaluations.
• Benefits: administer benefits information and assist with leave-of-absence claims.
• Record Keeping: maintain accurate personnel records and protect confidentiality.
• Performance Management: coordinate reviews and performance improvement processes.
