Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. seeks an experienced Human Resources leader for the Wilton Mill. You will administer HR processes, oversee recruiting, payroll, training, safety, and employee services for the Wilton site and downstream locations.

You will partner with management to manage performance, compensation, and compliance while shaping workforce planning, engagement, and policy implementation. The role requires onsite presence at the manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Graduate degree and/or PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• 7+ years of human resources experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred.
• Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills.
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to communicate information to employees and leadership.

Responsabilités

• This position administers HR processes for Wilton Mill and downstream locations (~230 employees).
• Handle employee relations, recruiting, wage/salary administration, training and development, safety, benefits, and services.
• Conduct recruitment efforts and support hiring managers in selection.
• Coordinate compensation and review job descriptions and classifications.
• Ensure compliance with laws and the Collective Agreement; communicate total compensation opportunities.
• Coordinate performance reviews and employee engagement activities; support training programs.
