Job summary

Komatsu in Chicago, IL, seeks a Human Resources Manager to act as a strategic partner across corporate functions, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance. You will lead organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, leadership coaching, and change management, building capable, high‑performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; professional HR certification preferred.
• 6+ years in a strategic HRBP or HR Manager role.
• Experience advising leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
• Strong business acumen with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Experience coaching leaders through performance management and organizational change.
• Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and leadership development practices.
• Advanced knowledge of HR laws and regulations; on-site adaptability in Milwaukee/Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership: Develop people strategies with leaders to enable objectives and growth.
• Organizational Effectiveness: Lead org design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness initiatives.
• Talent Management: Conduct talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Employee Relations: Guide leaders on workplace issues and risk management.
• Leadership Coaching: Coach leaders on performance, engagement, and development planning.
• Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with hiring managers to optimize recruitment and onboarding.
• HR Programs & Initiatives: Design and improve HR programs and technology with Centers of Excellence.
• Employment Law & Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
