Job summary

Komatsu seeks a Senior Manager, HR transformation and Strategic Programs to lead the HR transformation portfolio with governance, executive decision support, and cross-functional coordination across Milwaukee and Chicago sites.

You will partner with the CHRO and HR leadership to accelerate execution, realize value, and drive enterprise-wide change, applying agile portfolio practices and AI-enabled methods to improve planning and speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field
• 8+ years in HR transformation or related leadership roles
• 5+ years in HR disciplines (talent acquisition, development, rewards, operations, HR tech)
• Strong understanding of HR operating models, COEs, shared services
• Executive communications experience with governance materials and business cases
• Ability to analyze business, workforce, financial, and operational data
• Experience leading initiatives in global/matrixed environments
• Willingness to work onsite 4 days/week in Milwaukee/Chicago; 15% travel

Responsibilities

• Design and manage HR transformation portfolio operating model with governance
• Evaluate portfolio data, identify risks, and prepare executive materials
• Lead governance discussions on tradeoffs, dependencies, risks, priorities
• Resolve cross-functional barriers and elevate issues with clear options
• Partner with sponsors to define success measures and adoption
• Establish agile portfolio practices and AI-enabled methods for planning
• Provide portfolio management and change leadership across HR initiatives
• Review project health, risks, and resource needs with owners
• Document decisions, commitments, and portfolio updates
• Maintain portfolio plans, schedules, risks, and adoption measures
• Coach leaders on governance, risk, sponsorship, and change management
• Use Microsoft 365 and AI tools while ensuring confidentiality
