Emerson Japan, Ltd. is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to employees and front-line leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives to support operational success.

You will act as a trusted adviser, advocate, and change champion, implementing practical HR solutions that enhance engagement, safety, and performance in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Five years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and safety.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices including labor relations.
• Demonstrated success building collaborative relationships with supervisors, managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to influence, coach, and support leaders in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to leverage data and trends for decision-making.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with front-line leaders to strengthen employee relations, engagement, morale, productivity and retention.
• Serve as the primary HR resource for manufacturing employees and operations leadership with guidance on coaching, conduct, policy interpretation, and employment practices.
• Analyze workforce trends, metrics, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement in retention and engagement.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand current and future workforce needs and oversee recruiting activities and pre-employment assessments.
• Partner with Learning and Development and HR SME to deliver programs that support employee growth and leadership effectiveness.
• Provide HR policy guidance and maintain knowledge of employment laws to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Support employee communications and safety initiatives by participating in meetings and safety activities.
