Job summary

Adecco in Shirley, MA is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with site leadership and employees to drive HR best practices, engagement, and performance in a manufacturing setting.

In this high-visibility role you will own HR initiatives, coach managers, lead one direct report, ensure compliance with laws, and collaborate on recruiting, workforce planning, and organizational development to support business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable communicating with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience partnering with managers and leadership teams.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on day-to-day support.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership, managers, and employees.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, attendance, workplace concerns, and HR policies.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational and business goals.
• Oversee and support employee engagement, retention, and organizational development initiatives.
• Coach managers and supervisors on effective people-management practices.
• Lead performance management processes, including coaching, documentation, and corrective action.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and talent development efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Lead or support HR projects and initiatives that improve the overall employee experience.
• Manage, mentor, and provide direction to one direct report.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, safe, and productive workplace culture.
