Job summary

Wabash is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to partner with operations leaders in Lafayette, Indiana. You will oversee recruitment, disciplinary actions, development, communications, and performance management, aligning HR with business goals.

Responsibilities include driving HR initiatives, reporting on KPIs, and guiding policy implementation while partnering with site leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness and associate engagement.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HR functions: recruitment, compensation and benefits, leadership and management development, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting HR.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative recruitment and process solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary business partner to operations leadership and provide HR expertise on recruitment, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Build strong relationships with managers and leaders; translate business goals into HR initiatives.
• Track KPIs to measure and predict HR outcomes.
• Lead change initiatives and promote Lean HR tools and programs.
• Support policies and procedures, employee morale, and professional development across the site.
