Job summary

1X is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to scale its workforce and leadership capability in California. You will partner with G&A and Marketing, shaping organizational design, coaching managers, and building scalable people programs to support rapid growth.

You will work with senior leaders to translate business needs into workforce strategies, ensure compliant employee relations, and drive talent initiatives across the company. This role is onsite in San Carlos, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP/People Partner roles.
• Experience supporting corporate functions (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Marketing, IT).
• Partnership with senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
• Strong employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of California employment law and day-to-day HR partnership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic People partner to G&A and Marketing functions.
• Shape organizational design and coach managers for growth.
• Build scalable people programs and operating rhythms across teams.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Legal on people solutions.
• Lead employee relations matters with sound judgment and legal compliance.
