Job summary

UNC Pembroke's Office of Human Resources seeks an HR Consultant to support Facilities Management, providing leadership on workforce relations, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs for supervisors and staff, and manage full-cycle recruitment across all employee classifications.

The role also includes developing position descriptions, processing personnel actions, and maintaining accurate employee records.

Qualifications

• Substantial HR knowledge in a large, complex organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience with HR information systems and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workforce relations as the on-site HR contact for Facilities Management.
• Lead the design and delivery of training addressing performance management and policy compliance.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment across all classifications with compliant processes.
• Administer credentialing, onboarding, and documentation for new hires.
• Maintain confidential personnel files and prepare data reports for forecasting.
