Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Human Resources Partner to serve as a consultative partner to assigned departments, aligning organizational objectives with HR functions such as compensation, employee relations, recruitment, and development.

The role includes leading HR programs, guiding leaders, conducting investigations, coaching staff, and driving organizational transitions within the city. A bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and several years of HR experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior level leadership and project management for HR programs, processes, and activities; delegates assignments and ensures quality.
• Consults with other HR partners and CoEs to ensure guidelines are administered fairly; recommends changes to processes and guidelines.
• Provides input to leaders regarding employee relations, organization design, leadership development, compensation, and HR issues; conducts investigations ensuring CoEs process is followed.
• Fosters communication and empowerment to build manager and employee ownership of the organization and a positive work environment.
• Responsible for employee and leadership development activities; delivers training and acts as a development coach.
• Facilitates organizational transitions for employees at assigned groups.
• Manages recruitment process for open positions; recommends strategies to attract qualified applicants; monitors recruitment metrics.
