Job summary

Integrated Real Estate Group (IREG) is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Human Resources to serve as a strategic partner to the Director of HR and support growth across a multi-state portfolio of multifamily and senior living communities.

The role balances strategic thinking with day-to-day operations, focusing on employee relations, compliance, coaching leaders, and standardized HR processes across communities.

Qualifications

• HR professionals with 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Candidates with strong employee relations and HR operations experience
• Multi-site or multi-state organization experience
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, or similar operational industries
• Leaders who are highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
• Candidates who are comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and shifting priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• PHR or SHRM certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to support company-wide HR operations and strategic initiatives
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and HR best practices
• Support investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion
• Help drive HR process improvements, standardization, and operational consistency across communities and departments
• Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and HR compliance initiatives
• Support leadership coaching and manager development efforts across the organization
• Participate in organizational development and employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulations
• Assist in building scalable HR infrastructure to support continued company growth
• Serve as a collaborative business partner to operational leadership teams
