Job summary

BBSI Modesto-Stockton is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the employee lifecycle across our Northern California offices, including Elk Grove. You will partner with leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent, build an inclusive, high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with labor laws.

This full-time position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year (DOE), regular hours, and benefits such as Health Plan, Vision, 401K, and Paid Time Off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources (strongly preferred), Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Manager position.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and deep knowledge of employment law.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, recruiting, and onboarding new hires.
• Holding each department’s managers accountable for policies and procedures.
• Develop and track KPIs related to retention and operational efficiency.
• Partner with executives and department leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, engagement, and planning.
• Develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and values.
• Stay on top of all new labor laws and implement new policies as needed.
• Track and report HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absenteeism).
• Handle employee relations issues.
