Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Human Resources Manager for the Intercollegiate Athletics Department to lead recruitment from position development through onboarding, partnering with coaches and leaders to attract top talent and ensure a positive candidate experience.

The role oversees HR functions, develops onboarding and development programs, and guides workforce planning while supervising one HR Business Partner.

Qualifications

• At least four years of professional HR experience.
• Experience in recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
• Ability to develop, document, implement, and improve HR-related processes.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages unit operational functions and/or staff.
• Supports managers' alignment of business needs and HR strategy.
• Designs, implements, and monitors HR programs aligned with objectives.
• Monitors compliance with HR laws, regulations, and policies.
• Interprets and proposes changes to employment policies for stakeholders.
