The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of the HR function for year-round staff, 100+ seasonal employees, and 250+ volunteers in Selbyville, Delaware.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, and compliance while shaping culture and organizational development across the foundation. This role reports to the CFO and offers a mission-driven, exempt full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
• Experience with payroll administration and employee benefits.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the full employee lifecycle for year-round and seasonal staff.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance, and compliance.
• Develop employee relations programs, coaching, and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
• Partner with leadership on succession planning and organizational development.
