Job summary

Round One Entertainment Inc. is seeking an HR Manager in California to oversee HR compliance, multi-state payroll and benefits administration, and employee relations. You will lead a team, drive policy updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership development, ER, payroll accuracy, and benefits management across all HR functions, with a focus on strategic partnership with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or related field; or equivalent experience
• 4+ years progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in leadership
• Strong experience in employee relations, compliance, payroll, and benefits administration
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence leadership
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and workforce management systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee in-house payroll processing, wage calculations, bonuses, and final pay.
• Manage end-to-end benefits administration and 401(k) programs.
• Lead employee relations matters and conduct investigations.
• Oversee leave programs (FMLA/CFRA/ADA) and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain HRIS and payroll systems and analyze HR metrics.
• Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with goals.
