Qualifications

• Experience in employee relations, investigations, compliance and employment law.
• Supervisory experience leading HR teams and developing the HR function.
• Ability to partner with organizational leadership and legal counsel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Human Resources function and team.
• Serve as trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
• Lead workplace investigations from intake through resolution, including complaints and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws with leadership and legal counsel.
• Handle unemployment claims, appeals, hearings, and other employment-related matters.
• Provide guidance on sensitive employee relations situations under California employment law.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations, reporting requirements, and policies.
• Support talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
• Review and interpret employment laws to provide compliant guidance to leadership and staff.
• Utilize HR metrics to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
