Job summary

The Township of Plainsboro seeks an experienced, strategic Human Resources Officer to lead its HR Department.

Under the Township Administrator, this role oversees recruitment, benefits administration, budget and salary administration, performance evaluation, employee relations, workplace investigations, training, and records compliance, and participates in collective bargaining for the Township’s union contracts.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of HR management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, benefits, and workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, benefits administration, budget and salary administration, performance evaluation, employee relations, workplace investigations, training, and records compliance.
• Participate in collective bargaining for the Township’s five union contracts.
• NJ residency required within one year of hire (NJ First Act).
