Job summary

Taurus Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead human resources across all Taurus entities.

This hands-on role partners with executive leadership and managers to manage employee relations, policy development, and organizational restructuring while driving recruitment and well-being programs. You'll shape policy, conduct investigations, guide performance actions, and ensure compliance with federal and California laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a manager or senior generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law (CFRA, PAGA, wage/hour, leave laws).
• Experience with employee relations investigations, policy writing, and full-cycle recruiting.
• Experience leading or supporting organizational restructuring or change management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and complaints across all Taurus entities.
• Conduct impartial workplace investigations and recommend resolutions.
• Advise managers on performance, corrective action, and terminations.
• Identify trends in employee issues and address root causes.
• Develop, write, and maintain HR policies, procedures, SOPs, and the employee handbook.
• Ensure policies comply with federal, California, and local laws and update with regulations.
• Lead reorganization efforts, org design, role mapping, and reporting structures.
• Plan workforce changes with executives and manage transition logistics.
• Own full-cycle recruiting for high-volume roles, build pipelines, screen candidates, coordinate interviews.
• Improve onboarding, offer approvals, and candidate experience; train supervisors and managers.
• Coach managers on leadership, communication, performance conversations, and compliance.
• Create well-being programs and lead engagement initiatives; promote inclusive culture.
• Partner with C-suite, provide guidance on people decisions, risk, and culture.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership.
