Job summary

Erie County Medical Center Corporation seeks an experienced labor relations professional to assist in administering employee relations and development initiatives. You will handle grievances, coaching, and compliance with contract language, ECMCC policies, and legal requirements.

You will conduct investigations, prepare responses for arbitrations, and collaborate with leadership to improve morale, productivity, and retention across multiple units, while serving as a liaison to union

Qualifications

Master's degree plus 1 year of professional/paraprofessional experience in HR or labor relations.
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of professional/paraprofessional experience in HR or labor relations.
Equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of the above.

Responsibilities

Assist with resolution of employee grievances and prepare for hearings.
Perform investigations and develop responses for labor/employee relations matters.
Advise department representatives on contract language, ECMCC policies, and corrective action procedures.
Conduct weekly HR meetings to support department needs and provide guidance.
Collaborate with leadership to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
Serve as liaison to union representatives and participate in labor management meetings.
