Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Concord, NC is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with departmental leaders and drive people initiatives. The role emphasizes data-driven insights, employee relations, and leadership development across the organization.

You will influence talent strategies, support learning programs, and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements while working fully onsite in a dynamic food-service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in HR, business or related field required
• 4+ years HR generalist experience or equivalent
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of employment laws and EEOC compliance
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership and Workforce Analytics: analyze turnover, retention, hiring data to inform leadership decisions
• Build consultative partnerships with sales and operational leaders
• Performance Management and Employee Relations: coach managers and promote open-door policy
• Learning and Development: lead leadership training and development activities
• Compensation and Benefits: understand and implement compensation practices and support benefits enrollment
• Absence Management: manage workers compensation, disability and FMLA processes
• Admin duties: unemployment claims, new-hire data entry and exit interviews
