Job summary

The Melanson Company, a Tecta America Company, in Keene, NH is seeking an HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist to manage the day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, recruitment, legal issues, and employee relations. This office-based role requires collaboration with management to uphold policies, benefits, and compliance.

Key duties include processing weekly payroll for 120–160 staff, overseeing time entry, benefits billing, and payroll reporting; supporting recruiting and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with computerized payroll processing.
• 4–5 years' experience administering HR programs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
• Ability to build relationships and influence others.
• Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel to other operating units occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly in-house payroll for 120–160 employees.
• Oversee remote time entry and time reporting.
• Prepare payroll reports and benefits administration.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance.
• Assist with recruiting and general HR administration.
• Support policy implementation and employee relations.
• Maintain employee files and documentation.
