Job summary

TAS Environmental Services is seeking a People Experience Generalist to support staffing, onboarding and compensation activities across multiple sites. This role blends administrative tasks with strategic HR initiatives, including payroll backup and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least five years resolving employee relations issues and partners with safety teams to uphold workplace standards. Occasional site visits and ongoing professional development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Working knowledge of compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, and employment laws.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience partnering with safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Responsible for onboarding new employees including equipment ordering and ensuring the completion of onboarding paperwork.
• Records/tracks company issued equipment to employees by utilizing the tracking tool available in the HRIS system.
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
