Job summary

Gravis Law, PLLC seeks an HR Generalist to support daily HR and payroll operations across multiple office locations, including Austin, TX. You will partner with the Director of HR to manage records, payroll, onboarding, recruiting, and compliance in a fast-paced legal environment.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, service orientation, and accurate handling of sensitive information as the firm grows to make legal services more approachable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Generalist and Payroll administration in a professional services setting.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, benefits coordination, and onboarding.
• Familiar with HRIS systems (Paylocity) and HR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and update HR databases for hires, changes, and separations.
• Process semi-monthly payroll, including garnishments and benefit deductions.
• Assist with recruiting, postings, interviewing, and candidate communication.
• Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation, ensure policy compliance.
• Support employee relations, investigations, and performance processes in coordination with HR leadership.
