Job summary

Lawyers for Justice is seeking an organized HR Generalist to support payroll, benefits, records, onboarding and day-to-day HR duties in a fast-paced setting. You will handle confidential information with discretion and collaborate with the People Team across multiple HR functions.

The role requires 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience, hands-on payroll and benefits experience, and a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Paylocity experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' HR Generalist or similar experience.
• Hands-on payroll and timekeeping experience.
• Benefits administration and 401(k) familiarity.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems; Paylocity a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and timekeeping activities and ensure accuracy.
• Administer health, dental, vision and other benefits.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data, and respond to inquiries.
• Support onboarding/offboarding, HR reporting, and compliance.
• Respond to routine HR questions and partner with People Team.
