Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is seeking an HR Generalist to provide strategic and tactical HR support. The role focuses on employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance management to help leaders meet business objectives.

You will partner with executives to drive workforce development, ensure compliance with laws, and promote a fair, respectful workplace across the Houston-Galveston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in HR with employee relations experience.
• SHRM CP/SCP or HCI PHR/SPHR certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of HR strategies aligned to business goals.
• Advise leaders on employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance processes.
• Lead compliance with civil rights laws and HR policy administration.
• Support organizational development and leadership development programs.
• Coordinate training, orientation, and HR projects with stakeholders.
