Job summary

City of Leawood is seeking a collaborative Human Resources & Employee Experience Advisor to support employees and supervisors through the full lifecycle, enhance the employee experience, and drive continuous improvement across HR programs and services.

The role focuses on guidance, HR program administration, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and organizational development, partnering with departments to strengthen capacity and culture within the City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, public administration, or related field.
• Three years of professional HR experience across multiple functional areas.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to supervisors and leadership on employee relations, performance, and workplace concerns.
• Lead HR projects from concept to implementation with stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with departments on recruitment, onboarding, and selection support.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, transitions, and offboarding to improve experience.
• Administer benefits programs, payroll processing, and related communications.
• Maintain HR data, respond to questions, and support reporting and audits.
• Support performance management, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
