NNMC Northern New Mexico College is seeking a Director of Human Resources to plan, lead, and coordinate HR policies, programs, and services in support of the college mission.

The role oversees HR staff, ensures legal compliance, administers recruitment, benefits, payroll, labor relations, and employee training, and serves as Equal Employment Officer. Strong communication, analytical skills, and a track record in higher education HR are valued; Master’s degree and SHRM certifications are welcomed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business management, or related field required.
• Five years of related experience including management, supervisory, or specialized experience.
• Master’s degree and professional HR certifications preferred.

Mansioni

• Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement HR policies, processes, training, and surveys to support compliance and strategy.
• Administer HR programs including recruitment, selection, job descriptions, employment contracts, personnel records, classification, compensation, benefits, leave, payroll, and labor relations.
• Identify staffing needs, oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensure compliance with policies and laws, assist departments in screening and interviewing.
• Maintain recruitment records, review job descriptions, serve as HRIS SME, analyze trends, monitor employment laws, recommend best practices.
• Identify training needs, develop and deliver training on labor relations, employee relations, and other topics.
• Interpret and advise on collective bargaining agreements, participate in labor negotiations, develop bargaining parameters.
