Job summary

Conexus in Los Angeles seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead its HR function and partner with executive leadership. You will set strategy, coach leaders, develop the HR team, and solve day-to-day people challenges across the organization.

The role covers employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and workplace safety for a diverse, multi-location workforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HR leadership capacity.
• Experience leading HR in a multi-location, operationally intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law, employee relations, compliance, and workplace investigations.
• Experience supporting a large hourly/non-exempt employee population.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership and operational leaders across the organization.
• Lead and develop the HR team, creating a responsive, service-oriented HR function.
• Oversee HR programs and practices supporting a workforce of 500+ employees across multiple locations.
• Lead complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with California employment law and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner closely with Operations and other functional leaders on workforce planning, organizational needs, and business priorities.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide leadership around workplace safety, workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and risk management.
• Develop and improve HR policies, processes, programs, and infrastructure to support the continued growth of the organization.
• Leverage HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, mitigate risk, and improve organizational effectiveness.
